ZZ Top have shared the first track and video from their upcoming album Raw, which is out July 22nd.
It’s a performance of “Brown Sugar” at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas that was shot for the Netflix documentary That Little Ol’ Band From Texas. “Brown Sugar” is not a cover of The Rolling Stones song — it’s a ZZ Top original from ZZ Top’s First Album. That album was released in January 1971, about four months before the Stones released their own chart-topping song.
