WILCOX — A fatal trailer fire occurred in Wilcox during the early morning hours of Tuesday, Jan. 23.
The Kearney County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that there was a fatality that occurred during the fire.
Reports state that a trailer in Wilcox was fully engulfed in flames around 2:45 a.m.
Responding to the fire included the Wilcox Rural Fire Department, Hildreth Fire and Rescue and the Minden Volunteer Fire Department. The Kearney County Sheriff’s Office also assisted on scene.
The name of the deceased individual has not been released; the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s Office.
