HASTINGS — The City of Hastings 2025 Spring/Summer Activity Guide will soon be included with the Hastings Tribune and available in public places.

The 28-page guide includes spring and summer programming information for the Hastings Parks & Recreation Department, Hastings Public

Library and Hastings Museum. It also includes information about initiatives from other City of Hastings departments including the Development Services Department, Hastings Utility Department, Hastings Museum and the Hastings Solid Waste Landfill.

There is also information about pollinator habitats within the community as well as a welcome letter from Mayor Jay Beckby.

Physical copies guide will be included within the Saturday, March 22 issue of the Hastings Tribune. The digital version will be included in the March 22 Tribune e-edition.

The digital version of the guide has been available at cityofhastings.org for a few weeks.

Links are available at the bottom of the city home page, on the Public Information page within the Administration department and on the Hastings Parks and Recreation Department page. Look for references to the “Activity Guide.”

New with this issue is availability at high-traffic businesses. To start the spring season, guides will be stocked at the following businesses:

  • Allen’s Food Mart, 1115 W. Second St.
  • Russ’s Market, 611 N. Burlington Ave.
  • Coach’s Corner convenience store, 3212 Osborne Drive East
  • Fill-n-Chill locations in Hastings

Additional copies of the guide will also be available around Hastings, including the City of Hastings administration office at 2727 W. Second St. Suite 424, Hastings Parks and Recreation Department office at 2015 W. Third St., Hastings Utilities office at 1228 N. Denver Ave., Hastings Public Library at 314 N. Denver Ave., and Hastings Museum at 1330 N. Burlington Ave.

Having the guide available at grocery stores and convenience stores was a suggestion made during the City of Hastings communications survey that was conducted in fall 2024.

“Hastings residents are fortunate the City of Hastings has so many activities available throughout the year for a variety of age groups,” Public

Information Manager Tony Herrman said. “We wanted to make sure the entire community, as well as visitors to Hastings, had access to information about the programming as well as other news around the city throughout the spring and summer seasons. Thank you to local businesses for displaying the City of Hastings activity guide.”
