GRAND ISLAND – One of the premier wrestling events in the state of Nebraska will bring plenty of talent from across the region – not just the state of Nebraska – for their two-day event beginning Friday morning.
The Flatwater Fracas is the premier wrestling event in the state of Nebraska. This 20+ team, two-day event will celebrate its 17th anniversary at the Heartland Events Center this year. High school wrestling teams from Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, and Colorado will compete for top honors.
The event begins Friday morning with doors opening at the Heartland Events Center at 8:30 AM with the tournament itself starting at 9:30 AM. Saturday’s day two action will begin with the same time frame. Tickets and passes can be purchased for adults and students online. Tickets are only available online.
Both girls and boys wrestling teams will be in action, with several schools taking competition over the weekend. Schools include: Kearney, Grand Island Senior High, Eaglecrest, Garden City, Lexington, Lincoln East, Manhattan, Minden, Norfolk, Northwest, Papillion-LaVista South, Seward, Wood River, Bellevue West, Bennington, Blair, Cheyenne East, Columbus, Gretna East, Hastings, Lincoln Southeast, Lincoln Southwest, Smith Center, and Waverly.
