Results of State Band Marching Competition Saturday

CENTRAL NEBRASKA – Over the weekend marching bands from around the state competed in the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association State Marching Competition.

On Saturday, Oct. 21, Kearney High School was one of three sites to hold the state competition. Kearney High School has served as the west site of the state competition since 2017.

Twenty-four schools marched on Kearney High’s field to earn the highest rating possible, a Superior.

Schools that earned a Superior were Aurora, Adams Central, Cozad, Columbus, Grand Island, Holdrege, Hershey, Hastings, Kearney High, Kearney Catholic, Lexington, McCook, Northwest, Ogallala, Pierce, and Wayne.

Schools that earned an Excellent were Conestoga, David City, Fremont, Hastings St. Cecliia, Lakeview, Minden, North Platte, and York.
