Creedence Clearwater Revival will release a new live album, At the Royal Albert Hall, captured at the legendary London venue on April 14th, 1970.

After spending over 50 years in storage, the original multi-track tapes were restored and mixed by Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell — the team behind The Beatles’ deluxe reissues of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, “The White Album,” Abbey Road and Let It Be, as well as audio for the Elton John bio-pic Rocketman and Peter Jackson’s The Beatles: Get Back documentary.

With today’s announcement comes the first single, “Bad Moon Rising.”

Set for release on September 16th on CD, vinyl, cassette and digitally, it coincides with the release of the band’s documentary film, Travelin’ Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Royal Albert Hall.

It was directed by Bob Smeaton, known for The Beatles Anthology and Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsies, and narrated by actor Jeff Bridges. It contains unseen footage from their early days through the Albert Hall show. This marks the only concert footage of the original CCR lineup — John FogertyTom FogertyDoug Clifford and Stu Cook — to be released in its entirety.

On November 14th, both the album and the film will be released in a Super Deluxe Edition Box Set.

It will contain two CDs, two vinyl discs and a Blu-ray disc. The second CD contains music from the film, including formative recordings from the band’s earliest incarnations (such as Tommy Fogerty and the Blue Velvets and the Golliwogs).

Limited to 5000 copies worldwide, each is individually numbered and housed in a 12-by-12 box with embossed gold foil detail, and includes a reproduction of the original 1970 tour program, a poster, and a 16-page booklet, featuring an excerpt from Bridges’ voice-over script.
